DESCRIPTION
T.C. 910-A is a light tan colored liquid with a mild odor. It has somewhat more
viscosity than water. T.C. 910-A is a strong caustic alkali solution and is water-based. It contains specialized
solvents and paint-removing activators. It is highly chelated to handle paint pigments.
APPLICATION
T.C. 910-A is used for stripping exceptionally difficult paint films in hot tank immersion.
It is effective on most baked acrylics, phenolics, thermoplastic resins, epoxies, melamines, etc. It is applicable
to ferrous metals and copper alloys but attacks aluminum and zinc.

This highly caustic solution contains high boiling solvents and is non-phenolic.
CONDITIONS OF USE
For most difficult jobs, use T.C. 910-A at full strength with heat up to 240°F. For other
stripping jobs, the material may be cut one-to-one or even one-to-three with water employing temperatures up to
190°F. The time for stripping is as required. Follow with hose or tank rinsing with water. It is good practice
to pre-test applicable specimens on a small scale to help establish requirements necessary to do the particular stripping
job in mind.
HANDLING
Take the safety precautions necessary for handling strong caustic alkali solutions. Wear protective
garments, including rubber gloves, aprons or coveralls, chemical safety goggles and/or face shields. Wash up spills
with water. Avoid ingestion and contact with skin, eyes or clothing. Flush areas of contact with large volumes of
water. Seek immediate medical attention for skin burns or eye contact. Remove contaminated clothing at once. Freezing
is not ordinarily a problem but it is more convenient to store T.C. 910-A in normal indoor storage areas. Disposal is
as required for alkaline solutions.
