T.C. 414

DESCRIPTION

T.C. 414 is a dry, granular, free-flowing compound containing highly active alkaline salts, accelerators, complexing agents, and surface active ingredients.

APPLICATION

T.C. 414 is recommended for use in the removal of paint films from ferrous metal surfaces in soak tank applications.

PROPERTIES

T.C. 414 will strip most paint films to the base metal substrate quickly and efficiently, leaving no residue deposits.

CONDITIONS OF USE

Equipment Mild steel tank in sound condition is satisfactory
Concentration 12 - 32 ounces per gallon
Temperature 210°F to rolling boil, with latter preferred
Time As required

Conditions may be adjusted to achieve optimum results.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

This product contains alkali. It causes severe burns to skin and eyes. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Do not take internally. Keep container closed. Use with adequate ventilation. When handling, wear goggles or face shield, rubber gloves and protective clothing. While making solutions, add slowly to surface of solution with constant agitation to avoid spattering.

Wash thoroughly after handling. In case of contact, immediately flush skin with plenty of water and neutralize with vinegar. For eyes, flush with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and get medical attention. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Give at least one ounce of vinegar in an equal volume of water. Call a physician. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash clothes thoroughly before reuse.
