| T.C. 471 |
DESCRIPTION
T.C. 471 is a blend of aromatic solvents, glycol ethers and alcohol combined with organic
and inorganic acids which provide effective penetration and removal of even the most tenacious of paint finishes
including most alkyd enamels, vinyls, acrylics, polyester, and some powder coatings. Pretesting for stripping
effectiveness is strongly recommended. T.C. 471 has rather low volatility; however, it is recommended that the
471 tank be fitted with a cover when not in use. T.C. 471 is suitable for use in conventional immersion type
stripping operations. DO NOT SPRAY T.C. 471! DO NOT DILUTE WITH OTHER SOLVENTS OR WATER. In order to
extend the useful tank life of T.C. 471, a perforated metal basket may be constructed to fit the tank bottom.
As the stripped paint accumulates on the basket it may be carefully lifted to remove the collected paint for
disposal while allowing excess stripping solution to drain. A pressure rinse is recommended to remove loose
paint.
